AN URGENT HUMANITARIAN APPEAL
We have all watched images of death and destruction in Nepal. We, the followers of Mahavir and steadfast practitioners of Jivdaya, cannot ignore the clarion call of this hour of need. Nature’s fury must be answered by compassionate action.
Acharya Shri Chandanaji appeals to the entire Jain Samaj to come forward and extend a helping hand to the disaster affected regions of Nepal.
While details of the impact continue to come in, Acharya Shri Chandanaji ispreparing to go to Kathmandu – just as she undertook mission of mercy in the aftermath of the 2001 earthquake in Kutch. Veerayatan did make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of victims of the disaster in Kutch. Now we plan to do the same in Nepal. At first, couple of Sadhvis from Rajgir will go to Nepal by road on April 30. A twenty-five member delegation headed by Acharyashri Ji accompanied by Veerayatan’s Sadhvis, doctors and volunteers with three truckloads of relief supplies will go to Khatmandu on May 4th. Bihar Government and many generous well-wishers have assured their cooperation in this endeavor.
Veerayatan International is a tax-exempt (501 3c status) charitable organization in the U.S.A. Please be rest assured every penny of your donation will only be used for relief work. Now is the time to act:
